Metaphor, Maybe?

Tip of the hat to Bitter, of Shall Not Be Questioned, who brings us today’s Quote of the Day with an effortless aside.

Not that many people came by the [Constitution Day Fair at Bucks County Community College], but a few folks came in to check everything out. Interestingly, any group that was either right-of-center or focused on talking about the Constitution had candy to give away. The Democrats and groups that one would normally consider left-of-center didn’t want to share candy with attendees.

Bitter and Sebastian are masters of the blog-o-sphere, able to combine snark, education, humor, and real issues advocacy in a perfect blend. I’d labor for hours to make this into some sort of profound metaphor, she just lobs it in gently and goes on with her business.

  1. Julia says:

Giving out unhealthy candy is against the orders of Dear Leader’s wife, may she ever be praised. Anyone who would give out candy should be put in jail, or at the very least hauled in for questioning in the middle of night after the police have first alerted the media.
